sand sculpture by sandy feet

canal zone These shots are from the Inaxi project in Humbeek, Belgium, completed in June of 2000. The subject of the sculpture was the canal joining Antwerp and Brussels, and featured a forced perspective of the canal moving up into the town. I did not carve the houses in the background, but I did carve all the little canal zone people - hard to tell the scale from these photos but they measured about 5"-10" in height.

I had a lot of fun carving them.
